Vera Lin of Impetus Dance Store usually has a table set up during the dances at Saanich Commonwealth Place with ballroom dance shoes for sale. She has a nice selection at reasonable prices so if you've been considering the purchase of a pair of ballroom dance shoes, do stop by and have a browse.

Both venues feature smooth hardwood floors and the gym at Saanich Commownealth Place is particularly generous so there is plenty of room. At Saanich Commonwealth Place, the tables are arranged in an "L" shape in the corner to create a cozy and friendly atmosphere and encourage mixing and mingling. In another corner there is a practice area, which has been a huge success for many reasons. It's a safe area to work out something that's not going quite as planned on the dance floor, or perhaps review what you just learned in the workshop. It has been a big boost to the confidence of lower level dancers, who now can come to a dance, meet everyone, join in on the fun and feel that they have a safe place to dance.

We take great care with the music that we choose, and many people tell us our music is the best! The playlist is carefully compiled to emphasise the most popular ballroom, latin and jive/swing dance styles. A few line dances are always included, and our dance cards (optional, but fun!) give you a chance to mix and mingle with other dancers, and we welcome special requests, such as for a Hustle, Salsa or Argentine Tango.

Complimentary beverages and finger foods are provided, although you are welcome to bring your own if preferred. To help the environment, please bring your own re-usable & non-breakable drinks container (although we will have a small supply of plastic cups on hand).

To purchase in advance, please contact us and we can arrange to connect with you in class, at practice, or make other arrangements, including e-transfer.
