WINTER 2027 GROUP DANCE CLASSES

Group classes are fun, social and economical, and offered in multiple locations throughout southern Vancouver island including Sidney, Greater Victoria and the Cowichan Valley.  We offer instruction in all the most popular Ballroom, Latin, Swing and Social dance styles:

Waltz, Foxtrot, Tango, Quickstep, Viennese Waltz

Rhumba, Cha Cha, Samba, Salsa

Jive (East Coast Swing), West Coast Swing

Nightclub Slow Dancing

Our most popular courses are the Social Ballroom Dance classes for a well-rounded exploration of a variety of the most popular dance styles, starting from Level 1 (beginner), through Levels 2 and 3 (Intermediate), Pre-Bronze, Bronze and Beyond Bronze (Advanced).  These classes provide a logical procession in which each level builds on what was taught previously, introducing new figures along with the necessary technique to dance well, and styling tips to help you feel and look fabulous on the dance floor.

If you prefer to focus on just one or two dance styles at a time, several mini-courses are also offered and the selection varies from term to term, based on customer feedback.

To register for any class, please do so through the relevant recreation centre.  IMPORTANT - PLEASE REGISTER EARLY.  Some classes fill up quickly, while others risk cancellation if everybody waits until the last minute.  You can register in person, online or by phone.  Making use of the course IDs will help to find the programs quickly, and these will be added as soon as they are available and registration is open.

As this is an activity that involves two people dancing together, we always recommend that you and a partner both sign up.  Your partner can be a significant other, friend or family member.  We are very all-inclusive and all types of couples are welcome.  If you would like to participate but don't have a partner, and would like to take advantage of our partner matching service, please contact us as far in advance of the course start date as possible, by sending an e-mail to:  This email address is being protected from spambots.
